  • City of Clarksville (DNR – Legislative Priority Project)
    – “The City of Clarksville, Missouri, is deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with the State of Missouri through DNR funding to bring meaningful and lasting change to our community. For decades, our town has faced the repeated threat of flooding from the Mississippi River, which has disrupted lives, damaged infrastructure, and hindered economic development.

With the support of DNR funds, Clarksville was able to implement a long-awaited flood protection system—an investment that the City of Clarksville knows will make a profound difference. This project will not only safeguard Clarksville’s historic downtown but will also restore hope and confidence for residents and business owners who have long endured the uncertainties of seasonal flooding.

Thanks to this funding, the City of Clarksville will no longer be constantly reacting to disaster; we are now prepared, protected, and planning for a more resilient and prosperous future. We anticipate this project will energize our local economy, preserve our heritage, and provide peace of mind to the families who call Clarksville home. We are proud to be an example of how strategic investments can build stronger, safer communities for generations to come.” – Delores Woodhurst

This funding has helped the district in reaching our goal of connecting two towers together with an 8″ water main and tap into a part of our county where water production is great so we can plan ahead for the future of water demand and development.” – Wes Hogenmiller
