Signed into law on March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) included funding for states and local governments to mitigate the negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic (aka “State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds”). Missouri received approximately $2.7 billion in State Fiscal Recovery Funds under ARPA. Provided below is an overview of the State’s spending of Missouri’s ARPA State Fiscal Recovery Funds. Local governments are responsible for the spending and reporting of ARPA funds they received; that information is not shown here.

An overview of the State’s ARPA funding breakdown will be available here on July 1, 2022, once the state budget is finalized (for more information see  HB 3020).

Please note, however, that applications are currently being accepted for the water, wastewater, stormwater and lead service line grant programs. Additional funding opportunities will become available after July 1, 2022.
